Mission of the Chemistry and Chemical Processing Technologies Department;
As the Chemistry Technology Program, our mission is to educate chemistry technicians who have learned the relevant concepts and principles of chemistry, are able to follow new instruments and technological methods, possess the skills to carry out product manufacturing, design, and quality control, and who have not only contemporary professional knowledge and skills but also the fundamental competencies expected from a university graduate. We aim to provide an education that is innovative, open to change, participatory, and collaborative, in cooperation and interaction with the chemical industry, that conducts studies to address the problems and needs of our country—particularly in Muğla and the Aegean Region—while adhering to ethical rules and respecting human values.

As the Cosmetic Technology Program, our mission is to educate cosmetic technicians who have learned the relevant concepts and principles of chemistry, are able to follow new instruments and technological methods, possess the skills to carry out cosmetic product manufacturing, design, and quality control, and who have not only contemporary professional knowledge and skills but also the fundamental competencies expected from a university graduate. We aim to provide an education that is innovative, open to change, participatory, and collaborative, in cooperation and interaction with the cosmetics sector, that conducts studies to meet the needs of our country—particularly in Muğla and the Aegean Region—while adhering to ethical rules and respecting human values.

As the Chemistry Technology Program, our vision is to be a program that is first nationally and then internationally recognized for achieving the high-quality standards targeted by vocational education, for its competence in providing professional skills, and for the preference of its graduates; a program that meets the demand for a qualified workforce compatible with teamwork, open to communication, and adaptable to change in professional life.
